Grace Towers and The Rexy Project Present DragTivism
A Trans and Queer youth Mentorship Program
in collaboration with Queens of the Castro and SF LGBT Center
DragTivism is a place where Trans and Queer youth can navigate and learn about the power of Drag. We focus on intentional, intergenerational, radical forms of drag artistry through mentorship.
Throughout the course of three days we exchange skills, pass down wisdom and bond with QT artist through the art of DRAG. We will start off with a kick off dinner event at the LGBT Center where you will get to hear from the co creators of this event Grace Towers and The One And Only Rexy, enjoy a meal with other conference participants, and get a taste of San Francisco’s top drag performers.
Wednesday and Thursday participants will have access to workshops led by drag performers touching on different aspects of creating impactful drag performances, during lunch we will host a panel on each day.
Both days will have allotted hours for participants to get one on one time with workshop leaders and community artist. We will end our conference with a celebration where participants will have the opportunity to showcase their art form.
